Contribuciones a RazÓn y Palabra
RAZÓN Y PALABRA es una publicación electrónica bimensual del PROYECTO INTERNET del Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Estado de México, que no persigue fines de lucro. Por tal motivo NO PAGA las colaboraciones que son sometidas a la consideración de sus consejos editoriales.
Todos los comentarios, opiniones, posturas ideológicas e intelectuales expresadas en RAZON Y PALABRA por sus colaboradores, son RESPONSABILIDAD EXCLUSIVA de ellos mismos, por lo que no reflejan necesariamente el punto de vista ni de RAZÓN Y PALABRA ni del Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
Para enviar colaboraciones a RAZÓN Y PALABRA (textos, imágenes, fotografías, caricaturas, reseñas, etc), remita su correspondencia a la siguiente dirección electrónica:

Toda colaboración que sea enviada a dictaminación deberá enviarse como archivo adjunto en formato de texto plano, texto enriquecido ( rich format ) o en procesador de texto comercial (preferentemente MS Word), para que pueda ser retransmitida al Consejo Editorial de manera íntegra, sin alteraciones propias del texto reenviado en correo electrónico.
Toda colaboración debe incluir la siguiente información:
- Género (artículo, caricatura, etc.)
- Título
- Autor
- Fecha
- Breve semblanza del autor
- Dirección electrónica
Por ningún motivo se aceptarán textos para ser incluidos en los números anteriores.
Toda colaboración será dictaminada por el consejo editorial de acuerdo a los siguientes objetivos:.
a) Determinar, mediante argumentos suficientes y razonables, la publicación o rechazo de los artículos enviados a la revista.
b) Ofrecer las recomendaciones pertinentes en aquellos casos en los cuales determinadas contribuciones se consideren publicables a reserva de que se apliquen ajustes razonablemente aceptables para los autores.
Procedimientos:
a) La dirección de Razón y Palabra hará un análisis preliminar de las contribuciones recibidas, a los efectos de observar el cumplimiento de las normas editoriales.
b) Sin necesidad de pasar a dictaminación, serán devueltos a sus autores todos aquellos textos que de manera notoria no se ajusten totalmente o en parte a las normas editoriales de Razón y Palabra.
c) Sólo pasarán a dictamen los textos que se ajusten a las normas editoriales de RAZÓN Y PALABRA .
d) La dirección de Razón y Palabra dispondrá, coordinará y solicitará a los especialistas pertinentes la lectura pericial de los materiales y realización de los dictámenes, según los casos, sin revelar la identidad de los autores de los textos sometidos a análisis y con arreglo al principio de competencia académica.
e) Los dictaminadores realizarán su labor de conformidad con las normas aquí fijadas y dentro de los términos y plazos previstos.
f) La dirección de la revista respetará y hará valer el juicio pericial de los dictaminadores, cuya decisión se comunicará a los colaboradores.
Sobre los dictaminadores:
a) La dirección de RAZÓN Y PALABRA , con la aprobación del Consejo Editorial , seleccionará a sus dictaminadores dentro de los académicos y profesionales de mayor autoridad en cada una de las especialidades que se requieran, a escala local, nacional e internacional. Para ello, elaborará su correspondiente registro de dictaminadores.
b) La identidad de los dictaminadores no será revelada en ningún caso.
c) La dirección de RAZÓN Y PALABRA determinará casuísticamente la especialidad y cantidad de dictaminadores requeridos para cada contribución.
Sobre el dictamen:
a) Todo dictamen se emitirá por escrito.
b) Cada dictamen deberá considerar en qué medida los textos correspondientes se ajustan a los requisitos planteados por nuestro Consejo Editorial para todas las contribuciones destinadas a la RAZÓN Y PALABRA.
Con fundamento en los anteriores criterios, cada dictamen debe desarrollar de manera precisa y argumentada los siguientes aspectos:
a) Grado de interés, actualidad y trascendencia del tema de que se ocupa la obra.
b) Nivel general de la investigación encarada. Rigor, calidad, profundidad y originalidad.
c) Nivel de información manejada por el autor, en relación con los antecedentes sobre el tema, otros autores y fuentes bibliográficas en que se maneja.
d) Aportes científicos o académicos.
e) Opinión personal del dictaminador respecto a la obra.
f) El dictamen deberá expresar claramente si el artículo debe o no ser publicado y si se acepta en forma original o requiere modificaciones.
RAZÓN Y PALABRA acepta colaboraciones en español, inglés y portugués.
En RAZÓN Y PALABRA sólo se publicarán documentos inéditos, salvo en casos en los que por características del contenido o por trasendencia del texto y autor lo justifiquen y únicamente previo acuerdo con la dirección para evitar daños a los derechos de autor y/o propiedad intelectual, tanto del autor como de la publicación original.
Los derechos de autor de todos los textos, fotografías y creaciones en general publicados en RAZÓN Y PALABRA , no cambian de dueño por el sólo hecho de ser publicados, por lo que continúan siendo propiedad de responsabilidad exclusiva de sus creadores durante todo el tiempo que se encuentren en línea. RAZÓN Y PALABRA únicamente se ofrece como espacio de convergencia entre éstos y los lectores.
En caso de que las colaboraciones incluyan gráficos, éstos deberan enviarse por separado en formato GIF o JPEG (JPG).
Con respecto a la estructura del documento y la forma de citar, R AZÓN Y PALABRA sugiere seguir los lineamientos del manual de estilo de publicaciones de la American Psychological Association (un breve extracto se encuentra disponible aquí ). Se dará prioridad a las colaboraciones realizadas bajo ese formato.
En relación a la extensión, si bien en Internet no hay límites, por razones de facilidad de lectura, formato y carga del documento, sólo se publicarán textos en formato HTML que no excedan las treinta cuartillas. En caso de que sean más, se publicarán en otro formato (PDF, DOC, etc) a convenir entre la dirección de RAZÓN Y PALABRA y el autor.
RAZÓN Y PALABRA persigue el propósito de extender los horizontes reflexivos de alumnos, académicos, investigadores y profesionales de la comunicación de Iberoamérica. Te invitamos a ser perte de esta iniciativa.
RAZON Y PALABRA is an electronic bimonthly publication done by PROYECTO INTERNET of Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Estado de México. Its a non-profit electronic magazine that does NOT PAY the writers or contributors for their material submitted to the editorial board.
All comments, opinions, ideological and intelectual postures expressed in RAZON Y PALABRA by its contributors, are their solely responsibility and do not necessarily reflect the point of view of RAZON Y PALABRA or Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
To submit collaborations to RAZON Y PALABRA (text, images, photography, cartoons, reviews, etc) please send your correspondence to the following e-mail address:

Each one of the collaborations sent to pre-selection must be sent as an attachment in plain text format, rich text format or in a widely familiar format (MS Word), so it can be forwarded to the editorial council in its entire form, with no alterations in any way.
Everything sent must include the following information:
- Genre (article, cartoon, etc.)
- Title
- Author
- Date
- Short author's bio
- E-mail address
We won't accept any written material with the request of being included in past editions.
Each one of the collaborations will be considered under the following objectives:
a) Determine, through enough and reasonable arguments, the publishing or refusal of material sent to the magazine.
b) Offer pertinent recommendation on those cases where the considered-to-publish collaborations have reasonable changes made by their authors so they can be finally authorized to publish.
Procedures:
a) The board of RAZON Y PALABRA will make a preliminary analysis of the received contributions, on the purpose of observing the fulfillment of editorial rules.
b) With no need of going though analysis, all written material submitted will be sent back and erased if it doesn't fulfills the editorial rules of RAZON Y PALABRA .
c) Only the material submitted that goes according the editorial rules will be submitted to the editorial council.
d) The board of RAZON Y PALABRA will have the option to coordinate and submit to professionals written material with the sole purpose of further analysis and verdict. All without revealing the author's name.
e) Those in the board in charge of the verdicts for publishing material will work under previously arranged terms and schedules.
f) The magazine's direction will respect the final decision of all professionals asked for help in determine if a material can be published, the decision will also be communicated to the contributors.
On the verdict makers:
a) The board of RAZON Y PALABRA , with the approval of the Editorial Council , will select the verdict makers from a group of high authority academics in each of the areas of expertise required, locally, nationally or internationally. For that matter, there will be a list of potential verdict makers.
b) The identity of the verdict makers will not be revealed.
c) The board of RAZON Y PALABRA will determine the area of expertise and number of verdict makers based on every individual case.
On the verdict making:
a) Every verdict will be made public in written form.
b) Each verdict must consider the measure in which the written material in question is adjusted to the original requirements made by the editorial council of RAZON Y PALABRA .
Taking count of the mentioned criteria, each verdict must mention in a precise and argument based manner the following:
a) Level of interest, importance in time or mater on which the collaboration is made.
b) General level of the investigation. Quality, profundity, seriousness and originality.
c) Amount and level or information handled by the author, in relation to the subject's background, different authors and bibliographical sources.
d) Scientific and academic contributions.
e) Personal opinion on the material by the verdict maker.
f) The verdict must express if the material should be published or not, and if its being accepted as it was sent originally or if it requires certain changes.
RAZON Y PALABRA accepts collaborations in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
We will only publish original and unpublished material, excepting the cases on which its needed and always taking count of the author's and previous publisher's permission to avoid damages to intellectual property and author's rights.
Author's rights to all written material, photographs and creations in general published in RAZON Y PALABRA , don't change their ownership just by being published, meaning they stay property and sole responsibility of the original author while its online. RAZON Y PALABRA is just offered as a convergence space between readers and creators.
In the case of a collaboration including graphics, these must be sent in separate way and in GIF or JPEG (JPG) format.
About the structure of documents and quoting, RAZON Y PALABRA suggests following the lines of the publishing style manual of the American Psychological Association (a small extract can be found here ). Priority will be given to collaborations made under this format.
Regarding extension, even though Internet has no limitations, considering those with difficult reading, format and load of document, only written material in HTML not exceeding 30 pages (letter format). In the case of more pages, a different publishing method will be chosen (PDF, DOC, etc) to be determined by the board of RAZON Y PALABRA and the authors.
